  The wait was normal, as is the norm in barber shops, both barbers were busy. I got the older guy, I think he's the owner. He had attention to detail on my neck and edges and the straight razor was a nice touch, I love the old-school, but the top of my head wasn't tapered adequately resulting in me looking like Simple Jack when I got home. The next day, after a shampooing, the hacked edges of the upper portions of my hairline just weren't what I wanted. Maybe he's used to high and tights, I don't know.
  
  I can live with my haircut, it's just not one of the best cuts I've ever received, but what irks me is the long standing tradition of barber shops not accepting credit/debit cards for payment. I know the reasons why; they want to withhold reporting revenue for taxes and they don't want to pay the 2.5% merchant service fee (which comes to whopping 45¢ on an $18 tab) but I don't like the cost of doing business foisted on the customer. I had to go to CSV and pay $3 to get cash, so now my haircut is $23 instead of $18.
  
  They're nice guys trying to make a living, but if it weren't for the "Cash Only" issue, I'd most likely go back and simply be more specific on my cut. But I'm tired of paying money to a bank just so I can then pay money for a service. It's the 21st century, there's no excuse for not accepting cards. I don't frequent "Cash Only" coffee shops either.
